Hi there - I am a little tired this evening. Great Grandma is teaching Alex to knit. Unlike me she is taking to it immediately....grrrr. I like to crochet, but I am not a knitter. I have spent most of the day going through a secret stash of knitted items that Grandma has, that she would like me to to put on Etsy in my shop. We had to put labels in them, steam & block them, etc. Then price them. It is all very time consuming. Hopefully I'll get them in the shop before the weekend. It was perfect timing for Alex to practice her knitting. Sometimes I wish I didn't need to sleep and could continue to work until everything was done. Dream on... It has been a nice day though.
Saturday I think we're going to the beach with Uncle Kenny. He called yesterday and wants to be our tour guide on Saturday, even offered to drive! Can't beat that. Sounds like fun. For living only about 50 miles from the coast, it has been far to long since we been there. The last time was with my darlings, Scott & Derya. I miss them so much. Kirkland, Washington seems so far away.
I think I will go to bed and maybe I can get up early tomorrow. God bless & Keep you all.

Alex's Baby Bootie Project
I finally got the pictures of Alex's project. She made these all herself. It was her first experience with machine embroidery - I think she did great! What a nice gift for a baby shower
~ Good Job Alex! ~
Here is the back of the booties
I think the little bows add a darling touch.

It's been hard to get anything done with our busy vacation schedule, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Life is too short not to hug them while you have them - both Alex & Great Grandma. Alex will be heading home on the 28th. I had an opportunity to work on Etsy & now the blog a little bit today. With her not around today, even though I was trying to get somethings caught up, it hit me how it will be so quite with out her energy, loves & giggles floating around. I will miss her terribly. She is such a joy.
Thursday morning we went to our craft club at Vernonia Florists and Crafts and then that evening we went to the final Vernonia High School band concert of the year. On Friday evening we went to the local "First Friday" celebration and arts & crafts show & sale and then out for chinese food with Grandpa Ken. On Saturday morning we attend the Vernonia "Open Air Market".
This afternoon Alex went with her Grandpa Ken for a ride in the sidecar of his motorcyle, and then off with a new friend Kimberly to "Open Gym" at the high school. I will need to go and get her soon. This coming week one day we are planning to go to the Oregon Aquarium in Newport, and have some more crafts to complete. I promise I will get some pictures posted soon. Alex just called - gotta go get my girl!
